No Longer A Depotting Virgin & FOTD

Since I bought a quad from the MAC freestanding store in the Eaton Centre a while ago, I decided to depot my other 3 MAC eyeshadows just so I could have them all in one place. I've watched a couple of videos and stuff on youtube before, but my sister was actually the one who helped me with this one.

We used the flat iron method, and it was relatively easy. I didn't have any mishaps, fortunately (: And it's nice now to have my MAC eyeshadows (all four of them!) in one place, plus I can use my depots for Back 2 MAC. :D

By the way, does anyone have any suggestions for using Satin Taupe? I thought I'd be able to wear it with everything cause it's a big staple in peoples neutral palettes, but I find it goes on a silver-muddish colour, and I don't know what to pair it with. :/

Here's the look I did today. I was inspired by a Make-Up Forever Look that Resham posted on her blog which you can find here. It's the very last look called "Highlight in White." I love looks like that with simple, shimmery light pinks, but I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. This is what I came up with:

I don't know why my left eye is so squinty like that. :/

Used:
Eyes:
MAC Soft Ochre p/p
Urban Decay's Scratch e/s from the UD Deluxe Shadow Box (all over the lid)
MAC All That Glitters e/s (all over the lid on top of Scratch)
MAC Espresso e/s (in the outer corner and a little in the crease)
Annabelle Ebony e/s (matte black used as liner & used to fill in brows)
Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara (to set brows)
Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara
Wet n' Wild Glow e/l (on waterline)

Lips:
MAC Bare Slimshine (for Rai :P)
MAC Bare Necessity Dazzleglass

Not my best, but it was simple.

Till later!

My lions mane, haha.

Come depot mine! lol
I'm accident prone, I'm terrified to do it on my on.
My sister recently learned and she's depotted EVERYTHING!
...Probably make her do mine, too.

Satin Taupe is on my buying list, but I don't have it. Everyone says it's a must-haves, but some people say it's overrated.

Pretty look! lol @ the last picture.

I have Satin Taupe and I agree that it can be hard to work with because it's a silvery taupe colour and I find that on darker skin tones it looks quite blah. I mainly use it for smokey eyes; I use with carbon for evening and typographic for day.

Btw, you look stunning in the picture.

Satin Taupe is overrated.
I don't grab for it ever.

But it'll look pretty against pink or nude shades. I just keep it on the crease. On lighter skintone then mine, it makes a pretty smokey look.

yeah satin taupe looks like dirt on me unless it's a smokey look :P haha, I can't use it for anything else! But your look is pretty and neutral :) I need to buy some neutral colors! I need to go ask my mac counter about depotted eyeshadows because I'm not sure if they actually take it like that :/ ?

and I was waiting forever to try that mascara but I found a good deal so I thought why not? :) I'm glad I did but I know I won't be repurchasing anytime soon :D

Such a GORGEOUS look on you!

You look so pretty you don’t even need make up!! (I mean it!)
I love neutral looks particularly for work I tend to grab Mac Samoa Silk or Tete-a-Tint-e/s and dab it all over my entire eyelids and combine it at the brow bone with a blending brush.

ooh which reminds me! I need to depot a few of my gold eye shadows and pop them into a quad it will really make my life alot easier!
